Alert Road Marking was set up in 1998. One of the founding directors Jack Donnelly had been involved in the road marking business in the U.K. in the 1960s and he brought his extensive expertise to the new venture. Alert Road Marking progressed very quickly and in 2004 the company was approved by the National Road Authority (NRA) for highway and motorway road marking work. The NRA sets the standards for all roads marking in Ireland.
